Generation 6 GXII-5RHO high output race engine The GXII-5RHO is the next generation of high performance race engine from the GO factory, following on from the highly successful Generation 5.5 GX Series. The GXII-5RHO is an entirely new Generation 6 engine featuring - • All new crankcase • CNC modded and epoxy-ramped crank • Factory tuned and ported 5+2 (+2) sleeve • New turbo head button with heat dissipation fins • All new lower profile heatsink, lightened for less weight and lower center of gravity • Re-worked 2 needle carb with newly tapered LSN and modified throttle slide These features help to make the new high output Generation 6 GXII-5RHO the most advanced race engine from the GO factory to date. After testing the GXII-5RHO in both buggy and truggy, we can best describe the new motor as follows - The GXII-5RHO has great bottom end power characteristics like the legendary GX-5R, along with mid range and top end characteristics like the GX-7R and MG66. These performance characteristics have been combined together with an overall increase in power, to provide a seamless linear power curve that gives instant usable power whenever you pull the throttle. These atributes make the GXII-5RHO a powerful but very drivable motor in buggy or truggy. The GXII-5RHO has a noticibly stong idle, and the newly tapered LSN provides easy and accurate tuning. This motor is also extremely lightweight (34 grams lighter than the GX Series). When this reduction in mass is combined with the new low profile heat sink, it effectively lowers the COG of your buggy or truggy, which ultimately leads to better stability and handling. |
